The beginning

Hello dear readers!

Who am I?

My name is Joost Julsing member of Flush (official), I am 21 years old and I live in the small country called the Netherlands. First I will tell you a little bit about myself and we will talk about Flush (official).

As said my name is Joost Julsing, on the 4th of May 1991 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. I have been a little cute fat baby, an anoying little kid and a weird teenager just like everyone else. At the age of 6 I started with on of my first passions, tennis. My club was called T.V. VEGO, I was pretty much into tennis since my 17th, that means playing tournaments often, training like 3-5 times a week and i used to play the yearly competition with my team. At the age of 16 I started doing fitness besides tennis, also on a regular base (about 3-4 times a week). Together quite a busy schedule don’t you think? Well my arm thought the same and said, “Joost, this is to much man I will be a tennisarm from now on and harm you for the next two years!”. And so he did, I had to stop playing tennis, which i found really hard. Anyways, life goes on.. At that time i was graduated from school and was ready to study some real stuff, I choose to become a mechanical engineer. WRONG CHOICE MISTER! After one year I found out that this wasn’t really what I was looking for, unfortunatly. It didn’t take long before i knew what I actually did want to do, sportmanagement. The down side was I had to wait for one extra year before I could start. So for one year I have been working a bit and in September 2011 i started with my currest study called Sports & Movement on Windesheim (Zwolle). I passed the first year 100% and now at this moment, on 5-2-2013, I am in the second school year up and running baby! Alright enough about me, let’s talk about why I am writing this blog and maybe the most important question what is that Flush (official)?

Why this wordpress blog?

At this moment I’m studying Sportmanagement at a school called Windesheim. As a part of the school program I started following a course about entrepreneur. In this course we learn how to let the world know how to start, manage and create your own business, with a busniess of your own as a result when the course is finished.

So let’s take a step back in time to April 2012.

My best friend (Raymond) and I are quite ambitious and full of crazy ideas, we were dreaming about being able to create your own music and play it infront of large crowds. Two times a year there is a competion called “Plugged”, in my town called Apeldoorn. Raymond has always been into music, he has been writing/producing, playing the guitars and he has played in a local band. And me.. well I have never done anything with music except going to gigs and parties, so the combo between me and Raymond might look a bit silly because he has so much expierence and I couldnt do anything yet with music. Still Raymond asked me to play with him at Plugged, at first hand he ment it as a joke.

Somehow the oppertunity came for us to actually get on stage for real, which terrified me completely. I didn’t have any expierence at all and we just had one week till the performance, it looked a bit like MTV’s made. Anyhow, we have been working our asses of to make a strong set to play out at plugged. At that time we started at networking, we were really into EDM (Electronic dance music/dubstep) artists like ANiMAL, excision, datsik, modestep  and so on. We didn’t hessitate on contacting ANiMAL by e-mail, they actually replied and gave us real cool tips to use at our performance. Since that time we stayed in touch with the guys and we have met them a few weeks later in Amsterdam. They inspired us on producing our own music and getting further in the industry, just because they said we can do it.

So from that time on Flush (official) was born
